Only extension i tested so far that really disables this annoying tab focus stalking. I expect this infantilism to be used on much more websites... good we have a guard here. Check the extension i.e. on: https://www.daftlogic.com/sandbox-detect-when-page-is-not-visible-using-javascript.htm Edit: Unfortunately there is a huge CPU usage on browser restart which does not end... only when i disable this extension. Re-enable and surf triggers again the CPU massive usage. Too bad.

It worked perfectly for my application. Details - I opened the company mandated training portal website in it's own window (on my 2nd monitor). Then I pinned the (newly installed) "Always active window" extension to Chrome. Then I clicked it (it turns blue when enabled). It refreshed the training portal webpage and I'm typing this review right now on my 1st monitor, while it continues to play uninterrupted. This is a lifesaver!!! Thank you to the devs!

I have this extension active for a single site/hostname and even still, I am seeing some kind of CPU usage bug (or malware) activity when the extension is running that results in around +20% CPU usage overall and 100% CPU usage on a single core. When I disable the extension, the CPU usage drops to normal levels. Hope this gets resolved so I can use the extension again.
