Dark Reader

One of my favorite browser extensions. The most recent update seems to have partially broken it though. Tabs will load a complete dark/blank page, which refreshing wont fix. Have to close tab and open a new then return to the site. Also a bug when minimizing the browser then returning it would cause the page to render a dark blank page. Temporarily disabling this until it can be fixed. Not sure if its the browser update or extension update that broke it, but hope to see it fixed soon! Beside... Show more

Best I've seen, but breaks often and randomly. User support is a bit brusk and expects very technical users, but it exists at least. And they could hold hands better when telling users how to file and/or fix issues (again... at least they offer something). Some images won't convert, and their black text will hide on the newly black background (was white often). It's really hit or miss to my mind. Some things barely shift color at all, while others will be sane/logical (large inversion). ... Show more

It does the job pretty well, and allows for a good amount of customization. It works with most websites. However, there are some websites you will encounter that won't load because this is turned on. One that I experienced was Microsoft 365's web portal, probably because it has single sign on background data that conflicts with this extension (I could be totally wrong about this). However, it's pretty easy to blacklist the website from using dark mode. Would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
