I used to have Tampermonkey installed and wanted to give Violentmonkey a spin since some users reported that Violentmonkey performs better. So I backed up all my previously installed userscripts in a .zip file with Tampermonkeys backup option. However importing the scripts from the .zip file into Violentmonkey does not work. I can select the .zip file just fine after clicking the import button in Violentmonkeys settings but after that nothing happens and none of the scripts from the .uip file... Show more

Never got TamperMonkey to work for some reason, and finding out about this some years ago was a total game changer for me. I just think the main dashboard presentation is not very organized. There are not many details in each script to justify presenting them as rows, and there is no clear distinction between what belongs to each namespace (besides maybe an icon, IF present). I think a much better design would be organizing namespaces as rows and each script in them as cards.

Handy extension. I was able to export my Tampermonkey scripts and easily import them into Violentmonkey. I wanted the capablity change the order of script execution and Violentmonkey does that. Users: when deleting a script from your Violentmonkey dashboard, it still sticks around with a Restore option. That's because there is a small text link in the bottom-left of the window to Empty Recycle Bin. That link wasn't initially apparent to me.
