Great - a no BS solution, seems-like. Although, I notice that this and other mouse-gesture extensions I've tried (that were worse) all can't seem to work on the initial chrome home page. That seems to be an issue with chrome itself, but I'd like to bring it up in case the dev of this head-shoulders above the rest extension could look into it and maybe find a way to fix it or let me know how to correct it on my end.
