It's very effective at blocking unwanted or dangerous stuff from running on sites you go to. Just whitelist the site you're on if it's something you use often and know is safe. However, it doesn't work well at all with sites that put a username in front of the domain. Bandcamp and Itch.io are two examples. Blocks scripts (and more) on untrusted websites
No-Script Suite Lite provides an extra security for your browser
It allows JavaScript (inline & external) to be executed only by trusted websites of your choice
Some websites are added to the white-list by default, but you can add or remove items at any time
