I'm new to writing personalized e-mail campaigns. I was planning on using a different, very popular service. But I couldn't start with it because it only offers a month of technical support, and I needed to start a campaign, though I won't be able to be active for a couple of weeks. I'm finding it works very well. The interface could be prettier but it is functional and easy to understand. I hope that you will be able to add the feature that the "Aliases" (the recipients' first and last names) can appear in the "To" line. Just the bare email address is rather impersonal. We would like to move up from the free version because 50 emails per day is too few for us. We do a mailing 4x a month but when we do it it really needs to go out all at once. I have a small farm and a gardening business, and I've found it helpful for sending newsletters and announcements to my client list. I'm not sure why, but sometimes permissions get removed, and I have to reauthorize Mergemail to access my email lists. Other than that small hiccup, it's a great tool.
