Free VPN for Chrome - VPN Proxy VeePN

I've been using it forever. Now today, whenever I try to connect to a server, regardless of what it is, the page i'm in just reloads and has the following: Authentication error If you recently changed your password on the VeePN website then re-authenticating with the extension might fix this error. Thing is, I'm not even using an account. I've reinstalled, closed browser, re-opened it, and still can't use it.

literally god awful. i used to love this vpn, it worked awesome. i've used it for about 3 years, but the past few months it's given me nothing but issues. its favorite thing to do lately is not connect and instead reload my tabs to give me 20000 authentication errors when the thing isn't even turned on. i'm so disappointed because this was the easiest VPN i had ever used up until that point.

No longer usable. Constantly failing to connect, frequent countdowns to try to force you to pay them, and quite often sites will be able to tell that you have it on and refuse to load itself fully until you turn it off. Used to be great. Don't know if someone else took it over or if someone got greedy or what, but I will be looking for an alternative.
