What is Font Fingerprint Defender

The Font Fingerprint Defender plugin is designed to defend against font fingerprinting by reporting a fake value, adding noise to the actual fingerprint, and renewing it every time a website is visited or a page is reloaded

It aims to protect user privacy by hiding the real font fingerprint

The plugin does not have any settings or options to adjust and is made in collaboration with the author of "Canvas Fingerprint Defender"

Users may need to (Shift+Refresh) a web page to renew the font fingerprint, and bugs can be reported on the addon's homepage

AFAIK, it spoofs what it is supposed to. I dislike tabs opening with Font Fingerprint Defender (FFD) ads. FFD just opened the tab in the browser and first line says "Advertisement", and rest is all about FFD. I just spotted it, had I known when I clicked 'Report" was going to handed off to Google, I would have stopped there. WARN people when you're going to send them to the king of stalkers. Does exactly what it should do and claims it does. Tested at https://browserleaks.com/fonts and it spoofed both forms of font fingerprinting. I like that this is a one-exploit fix [well, TECHNICALLY it's two in this case] instead of a plugin claiming to spoof all forms of user fingerprinting, since new methods of that come up all the time. It's better to be certain that you have a particular weakness patched up because you have an extension that corresponds to it exactly, than to go without... Show more

I see that it actually WORKS!!! But it requires that Chrome browser is up to date and shouldn't be too old. Most people use outdated chrome browsers and need to update it.
