What is Easy Screenshot - a Web Clipper

Easy Screenshot - a Web Clipper is a productivity tool that provides all-in-one capturing functionality for the visual part, entire page, or a selective area with auto-scrolling and editing support

It allows capturing screenshots from the active tab with multiple options for specific portions of the page, visual viewport, or the entire page with both vertical and horizontal scroll bars

The captured images can be saved to the default download directory, copied to the clipboard, or opened in an online paint editor

The extension integrates JSPaint, a web-based replica of MS Paint, for offline image editing

It adds a toolbar button to the browser's action area and provides options for capturing the entire screen, visual part, or a portion via a popup window or right-click context menu

The good • I love it. It is owned and supported by a friendly community. Not a corporation. So more secure because its code is publicly available for review and contributions on GitHub at https://github.com/schomery/easy-screenshot • Easy to use. Simply right click anywhere in your browser window. Select "Easy Screenshot" option. Then select "entire page", a" portion", or "visual part." option • Lightweight • Very good quality screenshot using PNG format The bad • Minimal features

Actually works (which is rare among these screenshot plugins). I use it to capture a portion, because if you need the whole window it's just Alt-Prt sc, and no one needs a plugin for that. Web Clipper is also pretty easy to use and pretty decent image quality. I wish it let you more easily understand what is being selected. I had to try a few times because instead of a simple rectangle you see a moving cross on-screen which makes it difficult to figure out what you're capturing!

Tried 8 different screen capture extensions, all purporting to be "easy" but most were not at all intuitive. One could not be deciphered even after reading all the instructions! Web Clipper, on the other hand, was easy and intuitive to use and was capturing screen shots within seconds. Bravo!
