The browser extension works for me. Sometimes it looks more like an affiliate link (earn Acorns when a friend uses your link, kind of thing), but no harm no foul in clicking the activation in case I do buy something from a website. I'm pleased when I get the notification that earnings were applied, and pleased again several weeks later when the credits that I forgot about come in.
